We will be pleased to consider applications from young adults of either sex who have problems which affect their normal functioning in society. These problems may be social or medical in origin. Initial contact should be made by e.mail or letter, as we are often busy looking after the dogs and each other, and a telephone call may not reach us immediately.
After initial contact arrangements will be made for a visit to the facility to get to know each other and to assess possibilities. Places will be limited so that sufficient individual attention may be given to every guest.
We will also be pleased to hear from families who have children who might be considered likely to benefit from interaction with animals, and particularly bassets. Children will be invited to visit with their families to assess the possibilities of the placement of one of our dogs with the family, if this is thought to be appropriate.
